Networks In Motion Launches Branded LBS Application, Available Through BlackBerry App World

—  Networks In Motion (NIM), the award-winning wireless navigation, hyper-local search and location-based services (LBS) company with the largest mobile phone navigation subscriber base in North America, today announced Gokivo™ Navigator, its first direct-to-consumer LBS application. Based upon NIM’s industry-leading AtlasBook Reference platform, Gokivo will be available for purchase through BlackBerry App World™.

  • Searching current movie listings for show times and ratings, and finding entertainment information about nearby concerts, sporting events and popular social activities. With a single click, customers can navigate to the venue or send the location to their friends to join them
  • Searching for a gas station nearest their location or for a nearby station with the cheapest price
  • Find weather conditions and forecasts for current location or for other cities of interest
  • Sharing one’s current location with friends and family

Gokivo provides users with NIM’s renowned on-phone navigation and local search platform, turning BlackBerry® smartphones into an indispensable mobile tool, with an array of information options at their fingertips.

Gokivo is immediately available from BlackBerry App World, and incorporates NAVTEQ® maps and content, like NAVTEQ Discover Cities™ that improves the pedestrian navigation experience and NAVTEQ Traffic™ that provides live traffic conditions.
